Ask Brownie

As you know last month we at the “Insight News Desk” received some fabulous news, hardly believing our eyes as we opened the stylish envelope with a dainty handwritten note inside.  Brownie Wise (yes THE Brownie Wise) had written to offer her services as a columnist for Insight as a 50th Birthday gift to Tupperware Demonstrators in Australia and New Zealand.

Brownie has been a columnist before, initially writing casually for the “Experience” column in the Detroit News.  A legendary figure for women in the 1950’s, Brownie was the first woman featured on the cover of “Business Week” and famously the developer of the “Tupperware Party”.  A single mother and astutely passionate, amazing and still very relevant woman, she will be answering your Tupperware Business questions. She has asked that we forward them on to her ASAP for her perusal and she will answer select questions every month in Insight.

Brownie Wise contributed greatly to the early success and indeed ongoing culture of our company with her philosophies of:

“All things are available to us – we begin to attain them by “wishing” – Wishing is created from desire and passion not necessarily from want and need.

“Each day we must pay rent for our room on earth” – Everyone has talents, strength and abilities. By investing these talents and giving freely and openly to the benefit of others, we pay for our room on earth.

“Build the people and the people will build the business” - By providing all Tupperware Demonstrators with training, guidance, support and recognition, everyone has the opportunity to be successful in building their own business.

“Love all of the time” – Love is a positive energy, it nourishes and blossoms into positive results.

“Never stop learning” – Seek to learn at least one new thing every day.  To stop learning is to stop living.

There are not too many aspects of the Tupperware business that Brownie will not be able to advise on, so if you would like some tips for dating in close, stopping rearrangements, selling more at your parties or how to dress fabulously in your business simply email: dearbrownie@tupperware.com.
